997 Carrera & Carrera S
Stage 1
Porsche's newest 911,
the 997, is on our drawing board for performance upgrade development.
The first set of modifications includes a flashloaded ECU tune
and airbox. These should be the first steps in any upgraded
program.
What
is flashloading? The Flashloader process does not require soldering/de-soldering,
instead we can now flash a performance program into the ECU without
ever removing it. This technology is an industry first and is the
safest most effective way to upgrade the performance from your Porsche. If
we are not local to you don't worry. Benchflashing is the same process
just on the bench. In our case it is on the desk of Stephen Kaspar.
We use a partial harness purchased from Porsche and simply plug into
the ECU and perform the same procedure as if the car was here. Safe
and effective.
Typical
gains for the ECU modification for both the 997 and 997S
is 22HP and 18TQ when used in Stage 1. The Stage 1 also
uses the patented V-Flow to increase CFM to the intake. These
to modifications allow a simple and clean upgrade while delivering
more power under the curve and overall HP.
