Our Software is all priority designed and written by the staff at GIAC. All
software upgrades are done via software instead of soldering. What this means is
the ECU is sent to us, we hook it up to a 997TT harness we have in house and
hook into the OBD2 port just as if it was in your car. Using our laptop we then
upload your new software. No worry about soldering or improper technique. We
don't even open the box!
This simple yet very potent modification will increase your HP and TQ band in
both peak numbers and overall. On our own TT we increased HP and TQ from
425HP/430TQ (wheel HP) to 480HP and 480TQ (wheel HP). More importantly our power curves start
sooner, peak higher and create more power under the curve. More HP is nice,
but more drivability is better.
These numbers are wheel HP. Not crank. Porsche rates their numbers at the crank
and our dyno rates them at the wheel. To arrive at crank HP on our dyno you take
the wheel HP and divide by .85. iAV1 is 480WHP/.85=562 Crank HP!
