Motorsports have joined up with GIAC Tuning to offer
the ultimate package for the 986 series.
We started with a run
of the mill 2.5 liter 97 Boxster delivered to us. We carefully
mapped out a game plan and built the industry's first centrifugal
supercharged Boxster. The goal was to add more HP without jeopardizing
reliability and longevity.
The heart of the kit
is the industry standard Procharger C1. This self-contained
blower breaks all the boundaries in the supercharged world.
More like a belt driven turbo than a supercharger, this unit
operates at very low temperatures while capturing the highest
efficiency ratings for a centrifugal blower. All brackets are
CNCed to exact spec then powdercoated and stamped with the
joint iA/EVO branding. Roto-molded piping ensures a factory
look and a very durable system. The kit utilizes all factory
components by relocating specific components in the system. This means
no check engine lights! Instead of trying to piggy back additional
fuel in the system we add the proper size injectors and carefully flash
your ECU as the factory would with the latest GIAC flashloaded program.
Real world results were completed
on our in-house AWD Mustang Dyno. Base line results were apx 150RWHP
increased to 230RWHP. That is a 38% gain by using your weekend to bolt
on our supercharger kit.
